Opening an Orange Money electronic wallet is free. All you need is an Orange number, whether it is a prepaid or invoice number. You can open a single Orange Money electronic wallet, even if you have several Orange phone numbers.

 

How to open an Orange Money account?

To open your Orange Money electronic wallet, you follow 3 very simple steps:

• You must be a subscriber to Orange with an Orange line identified with your name
• Then meet in our Orange stores or at one of our authorized Orange Money distributors (easily identifiable with the brand)
• Bring an identity document (CNI, passport / certificate of identity or driving license) and complete the subscription form. The distributor agent will immediately activate your Orange Money account and you will be able to start carrying out your transactions.

NB: For minors (18-20 years old), with the CNI. For minors aged 14-17, presence of the legal guardian with his identity document.

 

How do you know if your account is active?

As soon as you subscribe, you will receive an SMS confirming the activation of your new Orange Money account. The code "0000" is assigned to you by default as the secret code of your Orange Money account. You will be prompted to change this secret code to a personal 4-digit code. *

 

How to protect your Orange Money account?

Your Orange Money account is protected by the 4-digit secret code you have chosen. The initial secret code assigned to you by default is “0000”. You will need to change it before using your account for the first time.

To change the secret code,

1. dial #150#
2. select option 6 "Orange Money options", all you have to do is
3. choose option 1 "change secret code"
4. enter the current secret code
5. enter the new secret code
6. confirm it

Your new secret code is then saved.
