What is a mobile signal (network bar)?

The mobile phone signal "A" (or "home") is the strength of the signal received by a telephone of the mobile network to which it is connected. It varies according to different factors, such as proximity to the transmitter station, obstacles such as buildings, trees or relief. Most mobile devices use a set of bars of different heights to display the signal strength at the location of the device.
